Hey all! After I told people about my job dilemma, Heather approached me about a possible opening in CFM as an intern because they are short of staff. She took the idea to session, and they have approved it. As she has prayed about it, she kept being led to me, and I've been looking into the possibility of church ministry. So I would like to know what you guys think. Any thoughts, wisdom, prayers will be appreciated.
Rebecca

what are you feeling about it? sounds like God's making it work out for you - I think it'd be amazing; you know the kids, you know the people; do you like the Tri well enough to live there for more than a summer? haha...not much to do there, but the people are pretty sweet, I gotta say. prayers for sure.
I talked to Heather about this after I read your post and this is what I've heard, though I'm sure she'll have more to tell you:
the pay isn't very good (kinda like being a Trainee), host family is probably the best and most encouraged means of survival and worst of all; you would have to put up with me popping in on random occasions and distracting you.
On a personal level though, it would totally rock to have you around. And then we'd have "Trainees" in all three areas of Youth Ministry year round (except you'd be the only one actually getting paid).
I will definitely be praying for you and it sounds like there's still quite a while before the position is actually approved with a paycheck.
As for Molly's comment: there is PLENTY to do in the TC. Like staying in and reading a book, or posting random blogs noone will read, or twiddling your thumbs (a personal fave!!).
